Sens Washhouse
Sens Washhouse is a semi-buried communal washhouse at the heart of the hamlet of Sens. Once a shared social space where villagers washed laundry and exchanged news.
Sens Washhouse is the hamlet’s traditional communal washhouse, located at the junction of local paths in Sens. It was built into the ground with stepped access and a stone basin fed by a local spring. Sens Washhouse was for generations a place of work and social exchange where village women gathered to wash clothes and share news.
