Calvary of the Placette

Calvary of the Placette was erected in 1593. This double-sided stone Calvary depicts Virgin and Child, and Christ crucified, Saint-Julien.
 

Calvary of the Placette was dated 1593. This Calvary cross is located in the small square of Saint Julien. Engraved on two sides of the stone base are the words "MESSIRE NICOLAS L. GRAND, PRIEST OF SAINT IULIEN, HAD ME DOING THIS" - "APECE QUID 1593 TULERI PRO TE". The double-sided stone cross features, on one side, the Virgin and Child standing on an angel's head, and on the other, Christ on the cross.
